About the University of Bradford
University of Bradford is situated in West Yorkshire in U.K which is located in the heart of England. It is connected with marvelous roads, rails and air links with other parts of country. University of Bradford was created in 1966 from Bradford Institute of Technology, which was created in 1957 to impart higher education to people. University of Bradford is the 40th university created in Great Britain. Harlod Willson, who was British Prime Minister at that time, was the first Chancellor of university. Students from 110 different countries come here for studies. In University of Bradford almost 22% are International students and other are domestic students which come from different states.
University of Bradford has three campuses. They are:
- Main campus located on Richmond road
- The school of Health on Trinity road
- The school of Management at Emm lane

University of Bradford is at the distance of 20 minutes from Leeds and one hour by train to Manchester. University of Bradford has always been modern and student oriented university. Weather of University of Bradford is notoriously changeable. It is better to bring warm clothes .One should bring warm coat, gloves, scarf and hat for winters.
Sports And Activities
If you are sports lover, either occasionally or on regular basis, then one can find excellent indoor sports and recreation centre. University of Bradford provides sport facilities which are generally not found in other universities of U.K. Sports centre is situated in middle of main campus. There is large main hall for badminton, hockey, basketball, cricket other activities are available. A small gymnasium is also available. There is also standard Olympic weight training room and two squash courts. University also provides resident fitness instructors. University of Bradford is concerned about the health of its students. University has four doctors, three nurses & friendly support staff. Consultation and treatment of students are kept secret.
