WHAT IS RIBA?

The Royal Institute of British Architects is known as RIBA. RIBA’s aim is to promote architecture among newcomers and to support British architects. How to Apply for RIBA?

To apply, one must hold a minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree in architecture (or a related field) from a RIBA/ARB-approved programme. Furthermore, all architects are required to register with the Architects Registration Board (ARB), and the majority also join the RIBA. Without either of these credentials, a person may be operating illegally and have no assurance that he/she will be able to provide the service one requires.

How can I practise architecture in the UK?

Through an apprenticeship leading to an architect degree, one can obtain this position. This normally takes 48 months for completion through a combination of on-the-job training and academic study at an accredited university.
